This is the more playful/ artistic version of the workshop.

Adults $100, accompanied children 8-12 are $65, ages 5-7 are $35.

Takeaways: Class includes 4 silk scarves, an instructional handout and a 2 page guide to the best local dye mushrooms and lichens.

*Ages 5-7 receive smaller scarves and/or pocket squares. Additional silk and wool scarves will be available for purchase for $5-30 depending on size, material and design.

In this workshop students learn the steps for extracting and harnessing the dyes found in a common, easy to recognize wild mushrooms and lichens. Participants learn about mushroom ecology, ethical harvest, and the best local dye fungi. Students are guided through several resist dyeing techniques and design to create four beautiful and uniquely patterned silk scarves. Silk dye colors include: fiery brown, gold, green and magenta from lichen
